March is ‘new registration’ month – get your 14 plate Vauxhall!

As with every year, the spring change for new car number plates is almost upon us. The twice-yearly update always prompts a surge of customers to dealerships across the UK, with drivers eager to snap up the newest version of their desired car.

The March 2014 update will bring us into the ‘14’ plate. It replaces the ‘63’ plate which was brought in last September, and will likewise be followed by a ‘64’ plate later this year. The changes are meant to make it simpler to identify a model year and how old a vehicle is.

It’s expected to be a popular choice,  as many drivers superstitiously avoided getting a 13 plate this time last year, those who waited for a ‘63’ version might also have hung on just a bit longer for this next update. We expect dealerships everywhere will see significantly increased interest during this new plate month.

There are plenty of advantages to getting a new car registered with the latest plates, most importantly in the resulting value of the vehicle. Your model is instantly more valuable than the same one bought on old plates – keeping the resale amount up for longer.

It’s also useful to be able to pick out a model with the exact specifications you need – something that’s a lot trickier with an Approved Used car. Buying new means it arrives as ordered, in perfect condition and ready to go.

If you’ve had your eye on a brand new 14 plate Vauxhall car for a little while, take the plunge now, view our range of Vauxhall’s and contact Baylis Vauxhall to get your registration sorted this spring.
